Hi, I am Nick van de Westeringh, the face behind Aigronick. I grew up on our family farm in Flevoland, the Netherlands. On our arable/horticulture farm we cultivate crops as potatoes, tulips, onions, sugar beets and wheat with the use of the latest farm equipment. By growing up and working on our farm, I developed a large affinity with the agricultural sector. This was my reasoning to start my career at the Wageningen University where I studied Biosystems Engineering. During my Bachelor’s & Master’s Biosystems Engineering, I specialized myself in computer vision and artificial intelligence with focus on the agricultural sector.
I believe that, besides the impressive developments of the sector the last decade, there are still a lot of challenges to face regarding precision farming and automation. In order to help companies in the sector that face these challenges, I, as Aigronick, decided to specialize myself in developing high-tech AI-powered computer vision software for each need. My unique selling point lays in combining my expertise with my practical knowledge of the agricultural sector. Although my focus is set on companies active in the agricultural sector, I would be interested to use my expertise on other sectors as well. Interested in a collaboration?
